Self-Portraits
Myself as Subject
I have always been interested in recording my life. At nine, I started keeping a diary after seeing "The Diary of Anne Frank." When I began photographing, I turned increasingly to making images of myself as a visual diary. I took my first self-portrait more than fifty years ago and I have continued to place myself in front of my camera ever since. This portfolio includes images about me in a certain time, place, mood - Myself as Subject. The images in the following portfolio seem to be more about myself as a human presence or symbol - Myself as Figure.
