I make self-portraits all the time, but on my birthday I am more focused than usual on chronicling that day.  Another year.  Where am I now and how do I feel?  My  brother Peter and I had the same birthday three years apart. When we lost him a few years ago, my birthday has also become a day to grieve and explore those feelings in my images.
